
In addition to the opening tutorial level, Into the Nexus contains five unique planets to explore. Like the modern Ratchet & Clank “Future” games, Into the Nexus provides a satisfying mixture of classic 3D platforming with explosive and quirky third-person shooting. Featuring a handful of new characters as well as some returning favorites like Captain Quark, Into the Nexus is a fun continuation of the mainline games. This exciting adventure is a bit predictable, but its' lighthearted and enjoyable all the same. As they bounce from planet to planet, the pair must stop Vendra and her brother Neftin from opening a portal to the dangerous Netherverse dimension. Unfortunately, while awakening her from cryo-sleep, Vendra is able to escape, forcing Ratchet and Clank to pursue. At the start of the story, Ratchet and Clank are delivering the captured villain Vendra Prog to serve a quintuple life sentence aboard a massive prison ship. Into the Nexus continues the winding interplanetary tale of Ratchet and Clank, a heroic pair who keep running into villainous masterminds who threaten the universe.


Gamers take control of the dynamic Lombax Ratchet and his mechanical companion Clank shortly after a dramatic orbital jailbreak has freed the notorious criminal Vendra Prog and left the duo in an abandoned sector at the edge of the galaxy.
